Top CEO's To Unveil New Digital Film and Video Equipment in Syracuse
Film and digital equipment makers from the "biggest name" international manufacturers - Aaton, Angenieux, Cartoni, Microdolly, Tiffen, Transvideo, Steadicam, Zacuto and more - will come to Syracuse on October 14 & 15, 2009 to unveil their latest equipment and introduce a new event to the Syracuse community.
The Syracuse Film Office and the Syracuse International Film Festival announce this upcoming inaugural event to be held in Syracuse on October 14 & 15, 2009 - The 2009 International Film & Digital Equipment Expo - which will take place at the Renaissance Syracuse Hotel. Exhibition hours will be 9:30am - 4:30pm on Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Thursday, Oct. 15.
The event will be presented by B&H Audio Video, a New York City based film and digital equipment supplier and Exordia Corporation of Rome, Italy. CEOs from several equipment manufacturers will be present along with two special guests: Garrett Brown, Academy Award winning inventor of Steadicam and Jon Fauer, founder and editor of Film and Digital Times. Brown will demonstrate Steadicam and for the first time anywhere, unveil new inventions. Fauer will be presenting Cinematographer Style, a film featuring the work of several famous cinematographers. He will also be covering the event for Film & Digital Times. Other vendors present with representatives include: Kodak, Anton-Bauer, Nikon, SONY, Matthews, Arri, Silicon Imaging, PAG Batteries (England), Autocue (England), Polecam (England), and Kinostik (Germany.)
Owen Shapiro, Artistic Director of the Syracuse International Film Festival, Dennis Brogan, Director of the Syracuse Film Office, and David Holder of the Syracuse Convention & Visitor's Bureau have been working with B&H Audio/Video and Jacques Lipkau Goyard of Exordia Corporation (Rome, Italy) to create, organize and produce this October Expo. The International Film & Digital Equipment Expo will become a regular feature of the Syracuse International Film Festival when the festival moves to its new October date in 2010. The International Film & Digital Equipment Expo taking place this October will set the stage for a larger 2010 event. The Film & Digital Equipment Expo is a new addition to the established festival and the move to October 2010 will allow the thousands of festival visitors to experience the beauty of Fall in Central New York while enjoying international films, said Shapiro and Brogan.
Over the last two years the Syracuse Film Office and Syracuse International Film Festival have developed a team of local film production professionals whose collaboration will support the growth of a sustainable film production industry in the Syracuse and Greater Central New York Region.
This October Expo event is produced by the Syracuse Film Office, The Syracuse International Film Festival and the Syracuse Convention & Visitor's Bureau and presented by B&H Audio Video and EXORDIA Corporation.
